My incredible field trip was lead by Maynard Atkinson, a historian and model railroader, who has been studying this operation since the 1960’s.
My interest in visiting this area stems from the fact that my Grandfather worked at this same operation back in 1924!!
So off and on over the past year, Maynard and I have been trying to arrange a visit to several sites of the Lamb Lumber Company.
So finally in April we arranged to meet in Campbell River.
We were going from 9 am until 5 pm!!!!
What a long, crazy and great day!!!!!!
